Can I just say how thankful I am to be able to escape the everyday world for a few hours. Ever since I was a little girl I remember driving past "The Castle" on the 5 freeway and wanting to someday go inside…and let me tell you I am so glad I can go inside. "The Castle" or the San Diego Temple is such a blessing in my life. It provides such a comfort to me in the chaotic times in life. We have this picture in our house that has the San Diego Temple with clouds surrounding it, and has a saying that says "When the storms of life gather around you, keep things in the eternal perspective." That statement has proven true in so many aspects in my life. So often I find myself caught up in the everyday worries of life and trials I am facing and forget to see that our Heavenly Father is allowing me to go through these trials in order to mold me into something far greater than I can imagine. If I just remember to see things in the eternal perspective of things (which a lot of times can be very difficult I will admit) it makes things a tad easier to handle.
I've learn to rely so heavily upon this knowledge I have of a loving Heavenly Father and Mother who know me by name and want what's best for me. Its in the Temple where I feel this so strongly, and I don't know quite where I would be without it being so close to home. I'm so eternally grateful for the knowledge I have of eternal families, knowing that Families truly can be together forever is such an awesome thing to know.
