So this past week has kinda sucked I'm not going to lie. Well I should say with the exemption of Thursday. I had orientation for school on Thursday at Cal State San Marcos…and can I just say I am so excited to start there, although I'm pretty sure CSUSM doesn't stand for Cal State San Marcos but instead Cal State Stair Master…holy crap there was sooooo many stairs, but the good thing is I'm a health major so, I'll end up getting in some good exercise:) But anyways I woke up Friday to a crap shoot…seriously it was bad, and I'll admit partly my fault but seriously doesn't stop it from royally sucking…Then Saturday my ward (church group) was partially in charge of some class like sessions for a YSA Conference and we happened to get The San Diego Charges Free Safety, Eric Weddle to come and man oh man his story was so incredible! Then we had some other amazing people teach some hour classes and honestly so good! Kinda opened my eyes. And Sunday was brilliant! We had an amazing Musical group called Inspire from Arizona and there was this one particular song called "Blessings" the lyrics were about how we often pray for things like safety and healing, or for protection while we sleep. But sometimes we don't see that the blessings come from raindrops, or that healing actually coms from tears.
Anyways it got me thinking about how sometimes when life kicks us, and it sucks really bad…we need to actually look for the blessings that come in the form of 'raindrops.' I was so caught up in the fact that my week sucked and I needed to pay for some unexpected things, but in reality I did have a lot to be thankful for. So, well life gives you lemons, get some glitter paint and paint em gold!
