I can't believe its been almost a week since I last wrote!
This week has been an eye opener for me…I've realized a lot, and it's been an interesting experience. One of my friends had recently gone through a break up and I was talking to him and was interested to see how different people handle different things. I tend to get really emotional with things, and often times shut down and end up shutting people out. He was very different than me. And it made me think of how each of us handle trials, some people take bad things and let it break them, others blast it all over social media, others bury it deep and never talk about it, and others take something bad and in turn and really try and grow during the process of the trial.
One person I will forever cherish that took his trial and made something out of it that any person he came in contact with was my 9 year old cousin Julian who last year lost his 4-5 year battle with brain cancer. He handled everything with humor, I honestly can't remember a time he didn't have a smile on his face. He has been such an inspiration to me. He is part of the reason I decided I wanted to be a pediatric nurse. It has been such a lesson to me, that through trials we have a choice to let them make us or break us, and because Julian I have really tried to allow trials to mold me into something I know I can become (for the better).
Who has been a inspiration in your life?
Enjoy those people who make the Kakes better:)
