I realize I just posted yesterday but I thought this could be an interesting post.
Today was my brother's last day of his freshman year, and I've had 3 cousins graduate this year alone. So this one is for you guys:) Here's what I've learned after high school…
1. Life is hard and you will wish you could go back to high school.
2. Take every advantage of college you have…it's a once in a lifetime thing
3. Study, study, study hard. This will save you!
4. As much as you can, make a lunch…fast food adds up, and so do the pounds.
5. Bad things happen, let it make you not break you.
6. Failure is okay…just make sure you get back up and try again.
7. You will probably only keep in contact with maybe 5 people from high school, cherish those people.
8. Set goals, and do everything you can to achieve them.
9. It's okay to say no.
10. Be you, anyone who says not to be is not worth your time.
11. Have fun, have fun, have fun!
12. Take advantage of being a being an adult but be RESPONSIBLE
13. Make these years count, you will never get them back.
14. Fall in love, seriously whether it be with yourself (not in a conceited way) or someone else. Please fall in love, it's the best feeling.
15. Laugh whenever you can, it adds so much to life. Even if you laugh at yourself.
16. Learn something new each year, that you can take with you throughout life (cooking, baking, changing a tire all sorts of fun things)
17. Be kind. I cannot emphasize this enough. There will still be the mean girl but be nice. The world needs more kindness.
18. Stand up for yourself, but be kind (see above)
19. Choose your friends wisely…you will become like them whether good or bad.
20. Be healthy, but indulge on that ice cream:)
21. Take time for yourself at least once a week. This will be crucial, seriously, especially when college finals come.
22. Cherish your family, friends come and go, but your family will ALWAYS be there.
23. Home will always be there, take time to go back.
24. Have a girl best friend and a guy best friend…It changes your life.
25. And last but not least, take chances, on people, places, opportunities…everything you will realize why later:)
Enjoy the Kakes:)
